We were talkin about Jack Nicholson and Anger Management was on yesterday. The part where he takes Adam Sandler to see his childhood bully that's now a monk is awesome. Good writing for the style of acting.

I LOVED Where the Wild Things Are! I really liked the fact that it was a more dramatic.....mature interpretation of the original story. I took my 4 year old to see it and was really surprised that she sat through the entire movie....but then again I've been reading her that story for quite a while now and it's one of her favorites....as it once was mine.
Was going to take my little guy to Where The Wild Things Are but we didn't make it - will probably get the DVD when it come out laterw, looks like a really good movie. Will check out the Pistola & ACLOTM font.
HAHAHA "I guess I always think old movies are a little weird, though, so that means nothing."
That's funny. I def. understand where you're coming from. Especially Jacks old movies. He played some creepy roles.
Did anyone see Where the Wild Things Are??????? That movie would probably finish pretty high on my favorites list. The soundtrack was AWESOME. Check it out if not.
I also thought of Incubus because the font they use for "Where the Wild Things Are" on the posters and in the beginning of the movie is the same for Pistola and other ALOTM things.

Speaking of Jack Nicholson, a few weeks ago, I watch two really old movies he did - one was "Easy Rider" and one was"Five Easy Pieces". He was sort of a good looking guy back then, but the movies were a little weird. I guess I always think old movies are a little weird, though, so that means nothing.
Ok....so last night I saw Revolutionary Road for the first time. What a loaded film.......resonated very deeply with me and maybe anyone else's who has seen it and is married. My husband and I basically watched it and had a lengthy and somewhat tense debate about the subject matter. I love it when films cause you to take a closer look at yourself and your life. That was definitely one of those films. I highly recommend it. Kate Winslet and Leo Decaprio were brilliant in it.
i know what you mean:
when i was in middle school-- 6th or 7th grade i watched all the original "omen" films. people say they are cheesy but GOD. i was not strong in my faith at all and i DON'T KNOW WHY my friend thought it would be a good idea to watch them.... THOSE movies scarred me. it sounds lame, but there you go. i mean come on, they are basically about the devil.

sing this song, remind me that we'll always have each other... when everything else is gone.
I think the main reason why the Exorcist scares me still is because when I was about 3 or 4 years old I was at a relative's house and they were watching that movie. And no one had the good sense to put me in another room......so I sat on the couch, watched her morph into a hideous creature, watched her head spin and her voice change....jeez, the voice, alone......anyway to make a long story short.....it caused serious damage I think.
You know, I saw a documentary on the making of that movie and when it wa first released in 1977 it was a common occurance for people to faint while watching it in theaters. The subject matter, the obscenities coming from the mouth of that little girl, etc....I don't think people were prepared for it.
Funny little fact....the Exorcist was originally edited in a building in Manhattan whose number is 666. You wouldn't believe what Manhattan building my husband works at.....666 - the same building! Creepy little coincidence, huh?
alls i will say is that i am super excited for it.
the movies that i really want to see RIGHT NOW (well, this weekend) are: the men who stare at goats, the box, and the fourth kind.

Christine: I don't think something can beat the Excersict! I just recently watched that movie, but man was it good!! I didn't honestly think though, it was scary. I was just more, concerned or what I cared about finding out was, who she was possessed by and whether or not the excercism would go as planned. I think Linda Blair (sorry if I am wrong..i think she plays the daughter) does a great job as playing a freaky and creepy little girl possessed by a demon.
I saw a boot leg copy of Paranormal Activity, and I was NOT impressed....sorry....but I'm a horror junkie so it's really hard to scare me. The only movie to truly scare the s*** of me til this day, though I've seen it a 100 times, is the Exorcist. Now that, for me, is the scariest movie of all time. Anyway, I came to find out that the copy of PA that I saw had an alternate (and not as scary) ending as the one showing in theaters. That's the risk you take with boot leg versions, I suppose. Now I'll have to rent it when it comes out on DVD.
You know what I saw last night? Marley and Me......made me cry like a baby.
Oh yes Donnie Darko! Still need that one on dvd, but it seems out everywhere and I'm to impatient to buy a copy of the internets.
I think my fav would Edward Scissorhands, I never get tired of watching it.
I also liked A Scanner Darkly a lot, mainly because of it's visual appearance.
LOVE across the universe..the only thing is that i go around for weeks singing all of the beatle's songs and annoy my friends. hhaa

Forgot to add a major favorite of mine.....Magnolia....just about the only roles I truly like Tom Cruise in.....he was surprisingly real and vulnerable in it. Crazy heavy movie but unbelievably good.
So, I watched this movie Identity with Ray Liotta and John Cusack, and I would reccomend this to anyone! This movie was great! It was a scary/horror film with a big twist. You will really be shocked til the very last second, I garuntee!
