please help a fellow fan, concert experts

okay so, i KNOW we have some experts here on getting concert tickets...
anyways, i REALLY want to take my mother to a bon jovi concert and tickets don't go on sale for another couple of weeks, but i've already started pricing the tix and THEY ARE RIDICULOUS. yes, it would be worth it to get floor seats, but they are about 350 EACH. well, i don't have that kind of money, and i'll be buying two AT LEAST.
i want this experience to be amazing for her, and i want pretty close seats. they don't have to be FLOOR seats but i don't want us all the way in the back....
so i guess MY POINT is, what are some tips on getting GOOD DEALS on GOOD SEATS?
any tips at all?

i figured this would be the best place to ask since everyone here is super helpful, and understands how life changing concert experiences can be, especially if it's your favorite band Smiling my mom has been in love with bon jovi since she was about 16, and maybe this will manifest into ME seeing incubus sometime (hopefully in the near future)

i would really appreciate it. i honestly have no idea what i'm doing.

yes! thank you so much Laughing out loud
i've been signing up for letters like crazy... but it really looks like we won't end up with that great of seats.... my mom WILL NOT let me spend 100 bucks for a ticket. and YOU ARE SO RIGHT, they won't sell 3 tickets at a time, they say "tickets are not available" but I KNOW it's not sold out! >:/ it's aggravating.

Well. to get the best seats to any show it usually helps if you either :
A) Are signed with the band's/performer's newsletter : They usually give out pre-sale codes to fans and that's the best to know when are they coming somewhere near you, or
B) Are signed to newsletters the venue's/ticket dealer's site : Sign up with Livenation/Ticketmaster and venues like House Of Blues so they can keep you up to date on the next events

Then you have to be ready for the actual sale or pre-sale, 'cause on big events like I imagine a Bon Jovi concert would be, the tickets sell out waaaay too fast. So log in early and check for tickets as soon as the sale starts.
Hint : The ticket sites usually reject your whole order if they can't complete the number of tickets you requested. Take advantage of that and if you're willing to risk it, buy each ticket separately. Eye-wink

Of course, all of that works only if the tickets haven't gone on sale yet :S .
If they've already gone on sale you can always try ebay or tickethub.com for resales. I've noticed they sell cheaper as the date of the event gets closer. But it is definitely NOT a rule, so you better hunt for a deal as soon as you can.

Hope that helped somehow.
