Easily one of the best nights of my life. I just let go, jumping around, joining the rest of the crowd in almost outsinging the band in alot of the songs, totally inhibitionless... the only way to be. Such a positive vibe, I definately felt the love. Loved the whole set, The warmth, Stellar, Nice to Know you, Drive, Dig, A kiss to send us off... too many favourites to own a single song, I think they even played Vitamin, which was all good too. Much love to the hot ladies who pulled up beside my taxi cranking "Pardon Me" with the windows down, all four of 'em singing loud, I couldn't resist joining in "I've had enough of the world and its people's mindless games" Such a stellar night.
Perfection is always there, when you see all the pain as perfection too, cause without it there'd be no contrast, no way of knowing ecstasy...so see perfection in everything, be thankful for it all & your life will be constant awakening, constant love...

If there is no NZ show, I'd definately make the trip to Brisbane for this show. If the band is keen for another glorious outdoor setting they could play: the Bowl of Brooklands, New Plymouth, New Zealand. Its an idyllic natural bowl in park surroundings with a small pond/river seperating the audience from the stage. INXS have played there recently & Jack Johnson is due to play there Easter Sunday 2008. Got my fingers crossed that my favourite band come to play an NZ show, even if its Auckland or Wellington.
hey Mr vocalist, greetings from the existential wonderland
Hey Brandon, I hope you read this. Words are somehow not enough, I am so stoked that you and your band are out there, melodic, lyrical physicians of rock'n'roll who come as whatever pill the masses deem fit. I live vicariously through your band, you are living my dream. Don't worry though, I have two other dreams, one is to experience the sensation of antigravity, the third dream is to work in a job that isn't work because I love doing it, I want to help the world become a better place, so I'm makin' myself as we speak, I'm in my third year of study towards becoming a counsellor.
Songs like vitamin, a certain shade of green, a crow left of the murder, nice to know you, dig & rogues are a constant source of inspiration. They remind me we live in a temporal realm, time and space are finite resources, we must expend them wisely, build our own karma.
