I'm a fan (and you should be too) because.........Well from the day I first smoked da ganj until the second I heard Nowhere Fast burst through the super sweet sound system at my friends house. : ) ...(hey lets be honest now...we're talkin about my first real incubus experience).... Yes I was hooked.... Fungus Amongus, S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Enjoy, and When Incubus Attacks Vol. 1/2 were in my possession the next day. : ) ) ) ) ) ) ) I've been a musician all of my life....as far back as i can remember at least; and Incubus is just one of those bands that really knows how to keep things interesting. Ill never forget the podcast where Brandon and Mikey were being interviewed right before they started the Morning View tour and they said how they wanted every album they release they want it to be different than any of the other albums.... and i think in my opinion they have become such a creative and mature entity....that at this point in their career, they know EXACTLY what they are doing. Its hard now a days to find a band that sounds better live than they do on the studio albums. Not to mention everyone in the band is constantly trying to become a better musician!................constantly getting better..... Brandon is always expressing himself through the Arts...drawing, painting, and most importantly lyrically. Lets not forget Brandon took voice lessons so he could become better and so he could do things he couldnt do before vocally....and u can see a HUGE difference... hes one of the best singers if not THE best out there .... Mikey was just taking Music Composition at Harvard ......r u kidding... awesome... Ben is always creating and coming up with such great melodic bass lines, and hes got his own side gig going, not to mention hes a multi-talented musican. Kilmore, is the essence of the band. He is that Euphoric Earthy, psychedelic background to Incubus. He adds so much character and distinct subtle nuances that just completes Incubus, not to mention hes playin keys now. And Jose...is a ....mother.....f'in....mad...man.....hes so consistant i feel people forget about how good Jose really is. Im really glad they added a drum jam for him in Vitamin cuz he has been such a solid drummer since the beginning. If you look on the DVD Incubus Vol. 2 he is such a mad man on staying on top of the rhythm with Dirk and Mikey. Why am I a fan? Why am I a fan? First Let me say Words Dont EvEn DesCribe it..... and i havent even hit the tip of the iceberg yet. When Incubus Plays its a distinct sound. They differ from everyone else. Their music is soulful, melodic, and intense! They have a song for every feeling you could possibly have... and it leaves you earning for more.
