favorite film? that's a toughy... I really love a clockwork orange, fight club, fear and loathing in las vegas, wristcutter's, science of sleep, anything by David Lynch or Tim Burton... f***, the list is perpetual!

She's the tear that hangs from my soul forever...

I watched "Death Sentence" over the weekend with Kevin Bacon starring, i liked it alot. It was strange to see him in such a role and with all the violence, but his acting i've always liked. However, not a "Footloose" fan.

i'm floating down the river, i'm floating down the river, i'm floating down the river...........

What'd you think Abbey! I watched the ending again yesterday!
I also watched "Surrogates" with Bruce Willis. The cast is fairly decent but the movie was awful! Don't waste the 88 minutes!

The Pro Bowl had an "exclusive" look at Alice in Wonderland last night. It looks SOOO amazing. Can't wait.
Abby! You gotta see Sherlock Holmes before it leaves theaters! IMO, It's one of those joints ya gotta catch on the big screen.
Incutat: Thanks for the heads up, I had a few friends trying to see it but I think i'll wait for DVD.

well, it was what you call a "B" movie. But that's my opinion....some may think it better than me.

last night i laughed my ass off ( again ) watching Adam Sandler in The Longest Yard!

love horror films, so i checked out LEGION last weekend. I like Dennis Quaid, but he shouldn't have to stoop to lousy movies.

i'm floating down the river, i'm floating down the river, i'm floating down the river...........

One of my favorites too! Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet were AWESOME in that movie. I love films that you kinda have to see a few times to totally understand.

I may be a little late on this one...but my absolute favorite movie ever is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I don't know if any of you guys have heard, I know Leah has because she commented my status on Facebook, BUT there's a new documentary titled, "When You're Strange" which is about The Doors! It opens April 2nd in select theaters, though. I wonder how long its going to take to get to Miami. Anyway, you guys should check out the site http://www.whenyourestrangemovie.com if you're interested.

Totally excited for this film! <3

do you need a support buddy? lol
I DO THE EXACT SAME THING.

sing this song, remind me that we'll always have each other... when everything else is gone.

I can already tell how it's gonna go down. I'm gonna borrow it from a friend long before the movie (check), im gonna lay it on my desk until it's "read it now or not have time" time (check), i'm gonna do something else instead, and I'm not gonna know as much about the world when I see the movie. Damnit......

I'm hoping I can see Imaginarium this weekend!

BAH I didn't get to Imaginarium OR Book of Eli this weekend! My brother said it was AWESOME though! Sad
I must have no friends! Sad

CANNOT WAIT for Alice in Wonderland either. Who wants to read Through The Looking Glass with me before the movie comes out!!!!!! It'll be crazy for me and Christine! We get to go to Tim Burtons art exhibit in NYC the last week in March!

ahhh... just saw Avatar and I LOVED it!
just, wow! really, I am stunned xD

now, I want to see it again, in a bigger cinema this time Smiling that, and the imaginarium of doctor parnassus. oooh and alice in wonderland. hahaha

that was what i did at twilight.. i read the book first and liked it..then i watched the movie and i was like..."that's it? where's this and that?"hahaha... but what i like in reading the book first is that my brain tells me what the environment looks like and what the characters look like and stuff... gives mah brain sumthin to do..hehe..and it never failed me yet..to the point that sometimes i like what my brain imagined better than the movie gives me...

but i'll try that christine..read, watch and read..LOL. im also glad you liked AVATAR...ur one of us now, hahahaha!Ü

FINE ANDREW. I'm actually planning on downloading some of Ben's songs... sometime... when I have money... lol

and I WILL try it your way... and I totally identify with your friend andrew.

--

Try my way.....see the movie first, read the book, then see the movie again.....

now show me the world as seen from the stars....

Thanks yall! Attraction is a strange animal for me.
Ben Kenney has a song called "Get it to Go" that reminds me of all this. If any of you hear it and like it, I have a youtube video of him performing it live that is jawdropping in EVERY way. BUT I WONT SHOW YOU UNTIL YOU HEAR THE RECORDED VERSION. Eye-wink

I had read Watchmen long before the movie dropped, but a friend of mine read it a few days before opening night. He said it ruined his experience because he was focused on what parts they decided to change or exclude.
It's weird. Reading the book first gives you a better understanding of the movie and its interpretation from the Director but seeing the movie first gives you images in your head to use while reading the book. AHHH MY BRAIN HURTS.

I'm with Christine, I admire that you did that Andrew. A good guy is hard to come by, I'm finding.

AND YAYYYYYY, YOU FINALLY SAW 500 DAYS -does happy dance-
that dance sequence = LOVE. that's what did me in for JGL. sighhhh....

and as for movies and books, I should probably follow your lead on reading the books after movies, i tend to do it the other way around...

--

Wow....Andrew....it's a special dude that turns down the easy chics...kudos! Smiling

Go see 500 Days Of Summer asap!!! Oh, and tell your wife I love her too. lol

--
now show me the world as seen from the stars....

I didn't text her back, she came across as REAL easy...... nuff said Sticking out tongue
I watched Gamer last night. It was awful, if you're ever in a situation where you gotta watch it (significant other or friends are about to watch it) your time would be better spent with a nap, or an orgasm.......

Christine: I'm glad you loved Avatar! From what you said about 500 days, i'm gonna have to see it. Zoey is my wife, I promise... Gary Oldman and Denzel........ CANNOT FUGGIN WAIT.

--
Picture the scene where whatever you thought, would in the blink of an eye,

Hahaha! Very clever indeed. Good luck Andrew...older women is where it's at. lol

Anyway....saw Avatar and 500 Days of Summer...finally! Adored them both.
I must admit to not being mega excited when Avatar first came out...was like okay, another CG ruled movie but after hearing how much everyone loved it I had to see it. And I agree with all of you, beautiful story, visually stunning and a great message.
As for 500 days of Summer......I have a song from it on a continous loop in my head that's how much I utterly enjoyed that movie. Can Joesph Gordan Levitt get any cuter? lol Loved his little sister...she was hilarous......and couldn't tear myself away from Zooey Deschanel's eyes....absolutely loved the movie.

Really want to see the Lovely Bones...I have the book but am waiting til after I see the movie to read it. I always find that reading the book ruins the movie for me where doing it in reverse order allows me to enjoy both the book and the movie. Does that seem weird?

Also want to see Book of Eli...heard it was good and I love me some Denzel. lol
oh, and can't forget....Gary Oldman....

--
now show me the world as seen from the stars....

... that was clever!
I'd never ever be that forward with a guy tho, guess i'm old fashioned...

Nah he fumbled. The exit was backed up and he wasn't paying attention so he had to slam on his breaks and jump into the next lane before rear ending someone. Atleast we didn't get in a wreck? I'm dieing to see that movie! Sad
Funny story though:
We went to a bar instead. I had a lady slightly older than me (i'd put her in her late 20's) drop her Blackberry right next to our table, I pick it up for her, and she goes "Can you call it to make sure it still works?!" So I call it and wake up to a text from that number the next morning.

Did you get to see it anyway, Andrew? Or did you completely miss it?

--
'cuz without love I won't survive

IM SO PISSED. We were on our way to see Imaginarium, running late, and my roomate missed the exit. WOWWWWW Sad

I really want to see Imaginarium! Love Heath :'( AAAAND on top of him, Johnny Depp and Jude Law are in it Laughing out loud

I'm with you on Avatar Kels... I NEED TO SEE IT.
and also, I dont' think i would re-read before you see it. It didn't follow the book too closely from what i heard, but i definitely want to FINISH the book now that i saw the movie

--
sing this song, remind me that we'll always have each other... when everything else is gone.

kels trust me... u have to go and watch AVATAR... its really REALLY great... go treat someone if its the last thing u can do just to have someone to go watch with u... watch it in 3D ayt! ( i'm thisclose to suggesting u go watch alone if u dont have choice anymore...but since i cant see meself in a cinema alone, i wont suggest that 2u..like what they say..practice what u preach!)

as for zombieland...still in search for someone to go with me.. i pretty much have this feeling that i'll end up watching it with my brother..which means i have to treat him AGAIN! gotta save up!Ü

i saw the imaginarium. LOVED it. made me fall in love with heath ledger. except for his character, grr. btw, saw candy..didn't get to see the ending, but i definitely thought it was interesting. i think i'll have to see a second time and digest before i come up with an official opinion.

I KEEP HEARING ABOUT AVATAR. no one will go with me, but i want to go and see it! also wanted to see zombieland, i heard that was a pretty good movie too.

i loved the lovely bones as a book, but i think i need to reread that before i go and see the movie, i read it in 8th grade xD watched inglorious bastards today, reminded me how much i love that movie. and brad pitt. he was great in that movie and burn after reading

--
"i will hold you close if you're afraid of heights"

you definitely should watch it, I LOVE zombie-killing movies Laughing out loud

so... last night I saw the lovely bones and tonight i saw the book of eli.
I'm not exactly sure how i felt about the lovely bones.... besides the fact that i wanted to MURDER some annoying little middle schoolers/ underclassmen. they got their asses thrown out. LOL. YES, I LAUGHED AT THEM. well, more like radiated SMUGNESS.

i DID really enjoy the book of eli. I'm beginning to think denzel washington will always have sex appeal, no matter how old he gets. he's still pretty damn good looking in his what? 50'S????
