This show was awesome! It made my boyfriend start liking Incubus (as he should). It was long enough to be a concert, but I wish they could have been able ot play more songs.
Coolest memories from this concert:
Waiting in line as soon as the entrance opened and listening to the band rehearse.
--- It was great, it was like hearing them at band practice. It was just them in their regular every day essence playing bits and pieces of whatever, jamming, just like every band does. It's nice to witness people who you've idolized all of your life being human and normal and not being posters and songs recorded and mastered to perfection and pre recorded and edited videos. Instead it was them, in real time, being themselves, and me freaking out like it was the best thing ever (and you know, to me it was).
---Brandon Boyd reading my poster and giggling after reading it. In reality it's not as if Brandon Boyd cannot read something written in huge letters smack in front of him, and it's not like a human being wouldn't, but it made me feel special knowing that he could know exactly what I was feeling in that same moment as he was performing: I'm enjoying Incubus. And isn't that what they'd want me to be doing?
---Didgeroo!! WTF man!! How awesome! He had never used it in the previous two concerts I've been to.
---Unfortunately no drum solo/ break in down during Vitamin, but I guess that act is like 5 years old now.

This day was the best moment of my entire existence. My friend and I were lucky/blessed enough to be part of the meet and greet, and I ended up being the very first person in line they met. Mikey was super funny and nice, Ben remembered me to the very exact date in Cleveland (I had seen his solo tour last year) which really meant alot to me, and just to see Brandon's expression when I showed him both of my Incubus tatts made the angsty 10+ years of waiting to meet them all completely worth it. I have lyrics spiraling on my shoulder that says "Now show me the world as seen from the stars" and I have Brandon's well known art "Another" wrapping around my hip, which he was particularly intrigued by. I also had wrote Brandon just a small note saying he'll never know how much he's saved my life and things of the sort and personally gave it to him. I was shaking the entire time. DJ Kil and Jose were also so down to earth and super nice guys. We also ended up getting first dibs on floor spots, so my friend and I got dead center right against the rail. It was absolutely a phenomenal show. Best day of my life.
Concert was awesome. Unfortunately some guy was trippin-balls and way out of control in the pit, I ended up getting jaw-jacked and distracted for a bit to say the least. I would loooooooooooooove a DVD/video of the Charlotte concert. Please keep me updated if anyone finds one!
I just wanted to say....Thanks!!!!! to brandon, jose, mike, ben and chris. Just can't find the right words to express how amazing it felt to see you finally after all these years of listening to your music (everyday). What a thrill it was to sing along with you brandon!!!!!!!!!!! Please come back to Charlotte ASAP. We love you here!!!!!!
This was by far the best concert I have ever been to. It was so good that I am dying to find a recording of it, much like the ones that people do and share at Dave Matthews concerts. Does the band allow it, and if they do, does anyone know where I can find it? I need to hear that version of Dig they played last night again!
after 10yrs of being completely obsessed with every note that this band has ever played and every word they' ve ever written... i finally get to experience the the full circle effect of everything that is incubus. today is my holy day as i make this spiritual journey to my meca in nc. i'll be thinking of every song and every struggle in my life that incubus' music has pulled me through. every highlight and downfall in my life has an incubus song playing in the background. truly, they have written the soundtrack to my life. and tonight will be the zenith of all of that. the title of their most recent greatest hits album, "monuments and melodie" is the most perfect discription of thier stellar music carrer and of my life. my one mission today is to meet these 5 amazing men that have done so much for me and have really made me the person i am today... honestly, it's like i'm going to see my heros. brandon, mike, ben, jose, and chirs... they don't know me from adam and after tonight they'll probably never remember me... just another super fanatic that cried when i met them and got my picture taken... but to me... they are my best friends and their songs are like letters that they have sent to me at just the perfect times in my life. i haven't been this excited about anything since the birth of my daughter 4 yrs ago. someone asked me, "what will you say if you get the chance to meet brandon?"...what an amazing question. and to that i replied, "i would say thank you, for making me who i am today." and then i'm sure i would start to cry and try to get my picture taken... so here we go... only 10 hrs. until i'm standing there, heart racing and adrenalin pumping screaming at the top of my lungs every word to every song they play... it's incubus day!
