a new level of obsessed i guess?
Hah, so i don't know if this is just me, but today i pulled up to a redlight and had my radio on low, so i heard that the car next to me was playing incubus and i almost felt proud. even though this guy probably knew about incubus for a long time, i kind of felt like a proud parent showing off their child, lol. bad analogy but i was just wondering if this had happend to anyone else.

rosario: well put. same here, nothing better than your favorite song screaming back at you from your headphones while you're trying to push yourself.

"i will hold you close if you're afraid of heights"
I just listen to the Instrumental song that I officially named, then I listen to Quicksand, then AKTSUO, then I listen to other stuff. xDD

I listen to Incubus and......others while working out too, especially while running. There's nothing that amps you up more than a hard hitting song. I lose myself in the music and forget that my lungs are burning, that every muscle in my body is screaming for me to stop.

Luck for you Amber - I can't sleep anyway and exercising is the only thing that helps me sleep even 4 hours in a row, no exercise and sleep is really hard to come by. I love the FY songs too and will be actually humming one sometimes when I'm talking to my boss!

'cuz wihout love I won't survive
Definitely do both...listen Incubus to get me through hard times and when I am working out. My new playlist is my f*** you playlist made up of songs like Blood on the Ground, Pardon Me, Out From Under, etc. I will be listening to this a lot and dedicating each song to my boss!!

For me to get sleepy, I just eat something that feels heavy(not literally..) something like a cup of soup, and then I go to sleep. x3

i disagree, i love to workout. just makes you feel so happy afterwards, and it makes you super tired, so you get a great night sleep :] sleeping = love.

Excersizing is lame..

Christine - sure hope you're better now - almost impossible to get through a root canal without vicodin! I use Incubus as my motivation to get off my butt (ever expanding butt) and exercise, I HATE exercise and listening to Incubus while I work out has been the only thing that has motivated me so far.

'cuz wihout love I won't survive
I still have a sore throat and light cough. xDD

Thanks for the well wishes all! I'm feeling better today, though still sore and sensitive.
And yeah........the vicodin has been a lifesaver...

Christine: I ONLY go to the dentist with Incubus plugged into my ears! It's not even an option to sit in the chair without them. I am a total chicken when it comes to the dentist. I need complete distraction. They have saved me on a number of unpleasant occasions, though I am relieved that I have never experienced anything as excruciating as your most recent visit. I hope you are feeling okay now that it's over. I'm sure the Vicodin has been a lifesaver!

I lean against the wind, pretend that I am weightless, and in this moment I am happy...
rosario: wow, of all the trips to the dentist i have never thought of bringing my headphones!
what a dope i am!! next time for sure
i hope you're feelin better <3
i think producing 'incubus kids' might have to start in the womb haha, if i get knocked up my baby's listening to incubus til it's born...i'm so brainwashing them

I feel ya Rosario! Your experience reminded me of the tune they played in the Look Alive DVD when Mikey was going into surgery. I hope your root canal came out PERFECTO! Those are never fun.
I've had a similar experience, though it wasn't as trying as yours. I went to Denver with a good friend to snowboard for a week. I played Golden and LA LA LA ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM on repeat in the airport. It fit everyones intentions so well. Some people were sprinting to get to their plane while others like me were sitting and waiting for hours. Everytime I hear those songs I think of Denver.

Would you think I'm strange if I told you that today while at the dentist's having the root canal he felt it was crucial for me to have I wandered off into the land of Incubus? That the only thing that prevented me from running out of there as the sadist with the needle descended upon my mouth was the opening to Here in My Room? There I sat, every muscle in my body tensed, my eyes squeezed tightly shut, earplugs in place, volume up to the max, the white hot pain of the afore mentioned needle penetrating my nerve, followed by the burning noxious odor of bone being ground down. And while this savagery disguised as medicine took place I focused on that unbelievably beautiful song. My body relaxed as I let the sound of every instrument and of Brandon's poetry paint a picture for me...of a dim room occupied by 2 lovers, the air around them heavy with emotion. That song was a much needed and wonderful distraction and I thank them endlessly for it's creation.
Has anyone had any experience similiar to mine? One in which Incubus helped you through a trying time? Or am I just abnormally obsessed with their music.....so much so that I could actually forget that someone is mutiliating my mouth?

If I have kids, they're gonna listen to The GazettE and Incubus. xD
--

Miria3: That's funny!
Maybe they'll come around someday....it's really never too late to discover the awesomeness that is Incubus.
--
when I drive myself my light is found.....
Yeah, you know, I do keep trying! I keep thinking that one of these days, they'll get it. I took my younger daughter with me to Radio City the second night (figured for SURE that seeing them live would do it!) and afterwards, she was on her cell to my husband. He must have asked her how the concert was. She said, "Well, MOM had a blast..." (trailing off into significant silence.)
Kids. Go figure.

It's because we obviously need to teach our kids about how Incubus and The GazettE are amazing bands. =]

I just hate my accent. :3
--

Oh, you're younger than me. Dude, German's f***in' awesome. Pimp the s*** outta that accent.
I'm 15. xDD
And also my uncle had the same kinda accent like I have now.. (at least as of what i've heard a while back)
And I hate my accent, cause I sound weird because everyone at my school loves it. =3
--

Dude, that's effing awesome. I've been totally into Southern/Spanish stuff as of late, and I really want to learn Spanish (before I didn't want to). Coming from Canada, I speak both English and French, but I'm learning Korean and Japanese too (have been for a while now) and I speak Punjabi anyways. But Spanish, definately.
I'm serious, dude. Indian people have mistaken me for being Latina because my skin is really light. And I just stare at them like, "what? I'm the same as you".
But then again....I did mistake another Indian woman for being Latina...BUT SHE ACTUALLY LOOKED IT. So...case closed.
How old are you, btw?
Maybe you were born/speak with a German accent because you were around German people growing up? I love German.
Haha, I'm Hispanic/White. =]
And I was born with a German accent. (YES YOU CAN BE BORN WITH ACCENTS!!! omg)
(so that means when I say OH REALLY? i actually pronounce it OH VEALLY?)
I know, TTLY retarded. xDD
But I'm actually..
Mexican
Spaniard
Aztec Indian
Italian
German
Polish
Dutch
Irish
I'm a half-breed!
haha xDD
