Irvine, CA on 9/7/07 Verizon

Glad there coming back to the southern cali. because I missed them when they were in LA this spring. I had to go to Dallas, TX to see them during their tour. I will be stoke if they play "Certain Shade of Green" its old but I love it Smiling they didnt play it for the past two concerts I been to.

went to this show. drove nearly 100 miles, one-way: worth it! hella tired on the way back but my incubus cds kept me going. i just saw them again tonight 7/13/09 at the hollywood bowl and i gotta say the energy in irvine was better. hollywood bowl show was still fun though.

Definatly the best concert I've ever been too. Super job, guys.

I'm dually sad. I knocked out 4 Incubus shows between February and this past weekend. I'm going through MAJOR withdrawls. Sad

I went to Irvine, then down to San Diego on Saturday. I think the Irvine show felt longer because more of the mellower songs were played, San Diego felt a bit more pumped up and when I went back and counted I was sure they did more songs at Irvine but they didn't. It was definitely 18 songs a pop. When I saw them at the Greek in July I counted 17.

Damn I'm a friggin DORK. Sad

.mad.duckie.:

gos i am sooo pissed to find out tehy were just in cali!!! i live so close to irvine too! damn it! now i have to wait forever for another show here.

fooliodoolio:

first time seeing incubus in irvine. damn they rock! but they didn't play PARDON ME! wtf!
but NOWHERE FAST made it all worthwhile. wished they let mike rip that solo on SICK SAD LITTLE WORLD. Sad Sad Sad
great solo work by mike on SUMMER ROMANCE.
according to missmarisa's list they only played 18 songs but they were really good i thought it was at least 20 songs.

excellent show fellas. Smiling Smiling Smiling

missmarisa:

Amazing show! Here's the songlist:

1. Quicksand
2. Kiss to Send us Off
3. Nice to Know You
4. Anna Molly
5. Pistola
6. Nowhere Fast
7. Antigravity (Summer Romance)
8. In my Room
9. Drive
10. Megalomaniac

12. Sick Sad Little World
13. Lets Go Crazy
14. Oil and Water
15. Dig
16. Stellar
17. Punchdrunk
18. Aqueous Transmission

I must say the Prince cover was a surprise but they did an awesome version, as always.

Quite a few randoms in there though, like Circles, Nowhere Fast and In My Room. It was a packed crowd yet I didn't see people really getting into the show, which pisses me off. I wouldn't spend money to see a band I wasn't totally into. My friend Jac and I were dancing around like monkeys through the whole show, and with the exception of the couple in front of us, everyone was a bunch of deadbeats, BOO!

I took video of various songs, which I still have to upload to youtube. When I do, I'll provide the links here.

But for now, I need to pack. I'm commuting to San Diego this afternoon for their show tonight, I can't wait!!!!!!!

missmarisa:

I was at The Greek show and just about lost my s**t when they busted out "Certain Shade of Green".

I'm going to the Irvine show tomorrow and I already have my ticket and a hotel from for the San Diego show on Saturday night. This is going to be an Incubus filled weekend I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

imdee:

I was soooo excited to go to this concert becuz it would've been my 1st time seeing them live, but something came up and now I have to give up my tix! Who invented this thing called Responsibility neways!?
If anyone out there needs 2 tix for Sept 7th just let me know...

rastoor:

Wow its been 3 years since my last Incubus show and i'm counting down the days until the concert. A Certian Shade of Green would honestly make the night that much better; I finally have an excuse to want to go to school! If anyone needs tickets I have four extra tickets that i'm selling in section Terrace 9. If anyone is interested just let me know, i'll sell them indivdually if wanted.

Stefanie_Lost:

I hope I get to see them at least. I was suppose to attend sept 7th but my boyfriend ran off with my heart and the TICKTets! I check ebay everyday to see if he is selling them but not yet. I pray he calls me soon.....only 14 more days........my countdown begins....... Oh I saw em at Weenie Roast TOO!!! I almost fainted! Everybody keep your fingers crossed for me.
thanks

Pins-and-Needles:

i've been waiting to see them perform certain shade of green too! i could just imagine the place going crazy. the past three shows they haven't done it, so i'm still waiting. yes hopefully they'll perform it in irvine [i'm going too] or chula vista. *fingers crossed*

ittyinc81:

I hope they play "A Certian Shade Of Green" original version at the Verizon. I think it's the best song they perform live. Well... it was at the "Crow" tour heald at the L.A Forum. He mixed Kelis "Milkshake" with Green, and did a little milkshaking of his own. Brandon Boyd belly dances?....... you damn skippy!

incufan:

I went to the show at the Greek (los angeles) and they played Certian Shade Of Green it all its glory. It took them about thirty seconds to get it started. and Brandon joked about it but they pulled it off beautifully and it was certainly a treat.

incubichic83:

They do play a certain shade of green but they do it acoustic now. I have been waiting for them to play the original version. I did catch the Wiltern Show. I missed the show at the Greek. I saw them @ Kroq Weenie Roast. Now i'm looking forward in seeing them at the Verzion Wireless Ampitheather. I'm so excited. This year has been my Incubus year. Well talk to you later.
