This poem I wrote not too long after Beautiful Boy, and when I ended that poem with the muse line and heard Brandon sing about the sky looking like a backlit canopy, in Wish You Were Here, I thought of Brandon as an aurora borealis.

Beautiful boy,
The world is engulfed in
your warm eyes.
As your wispy hair flickers in the dawn,
there's more to you than just
your beauty,
isn't there?
Wiser than your years
you have so much to say.
The words fall off your lips
like notes being played
in a cascading waterfall,
from the vast canvas of your mind.
You seem inspired by
muses unknown to man.

The first time I "saw" Brandon was when the Drive video was being played a lot. Before then, being an Incubus fan was just all about the music. Then came Morning View, and all I could say whenever I saw Brandon at that time, was, "What a beautiful boy". So I wrote this little poem with that in mind, about the beautiful, talented, intelliegent, inspired boy.

The best part of this Incubus concert was how diverse the audience was in age and background. The people in front of us were Iraqi war veterans; father and daughter, so they must of been about 50 and 25. Anyway, the beauty of it was, that the world stood still for them on this night, and I gotta say, the Dad was rockin' out and singing almost as hard as we were. Just goes to show how Incubus can bring all walks of people together with their amazing music. Peace and love guys, peace and love. xoxoxoxo
